Charlie's Produce in Seattle is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic with a focus on trailers to join our maintenance team. The role emphasizes trailer maintenance and repair, with work on tractors and other fleet equipment as needed. Welding experience is required; a CDL is preferred but not required.

Formación

• Five or more years of relevant heavy-duty fleet maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated welding ability.
• Broad mechanical background, including electrical troubleshooting, air brakes, suspension, and hydraulics.
• Ability to diagnose problems independently and complete dependable repairs.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and interpreting service information.
• Professional mechanic's tools.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs, primarily on trailers.
• Diagnose and repair trailer brakes, ABS systems, air systems, suspension, wheel ends, lighting, and electrical systems.
• Repair trailer doors, floors, roofs, body components, and related hardware.
• Perform welding and fabrication for equipment repairs.
• Diagnose and repair liftgates and hydraulic systems.
• Support maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and other fleet equipment.
• Use diagnostic software, scan tools, and service information to troubleshoot equipment.
• Accurately document repairs, parts usage, and labor time on work orders.
• Follow safe work practices and communicate repair needs that affect equipment safety or downtime.
