Job summary

Skeeter Products, Inc. in Kilgore, Texas is seeking a trailer assembler to join our production team. You will perform wood cutting, carpeting bunk areas, installing wheels and tires, wiring and lights, and other tasks to ensure proper assembly of carbon steel trailers.

Ideal candidates will have stamina, manual dexterity and good attendance. You will lift up to 50 lbs, work in heat, and operate air-powered tools while maintaining safety and quality on the line.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform walking, standing, sitting, bending, kneeling, pushing/pulling for 10+ hours a day.
• Work overtime as needed and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must work in heat and around dust, chemical, and fiberglass particles.

Responsibilities

• Cut wood and carpet as part of trailer assembly.
• Install wheels, tires, wiring, lights, trim and related parts.
• Use hand tools and power tools to assemble components.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order.
• Communicate issues with Assembly Lead and verify with Engineering.
• Keep the work area clean and perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs any combination of various tasks such as cutting wood, carpet, installing wheels and tires, wiring and wiring systems, lights, trim, etc. to insure proper assembly of the finished product of carbon steel trailers.

JOB DUTIES:

• Will be required to use utility knife, air-powered impacts, drills, screwdrivers, grinders, mini-saws, staplers, and various hand tools to install necessary parts
• Work effectively in first assembly and bunk area
• Bunk area consists of cutting wood to proper length and carpeting bunk boards and side boards for trailers
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order
• Committed to making a quality product
• Communicate any issues with Assembly Lead to verify with Engineering
• Keep work area clean
• Any other duties assigned
