Job summary

The U.S. National Park Service is seeking a Maintenance Worker responsible for recurring building and utility maintenance and operation tasks. The position supports journeymen and higher-graded workers and may be part of a seasonal staffing cycle with an anticipated EOD in March–April 2027.

Applicants must meet the agency's qualification standards per the Office of Personnel Management Handbook X-118C, with emphasis on experience quality over time. Volunteer experience is creditable.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform job tasks with standard supervision (SCREEN OUT).
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and specifications (including blueprints).
• Knowledge and use of common maintenance tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform recurring building and/or utility maintenance and operation duties.
• Assist journeymen and higher graded maintenance workers as needed.
