Job summary

The State of New Hampshire, through the Division of Parks and Recreation, Bureau of Trails, seeks a Supervisor of Construction Equipment Operators in the Trails Bureau for full-time work in Lancaster. The role oversees a crew performing year-round construction, maintenance of gravel roads and trails, and related infrastructure projects across the region.

Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment, coordinating with landowners and clubs, and ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of education and/or experience after high school in heavy equipment operation or related fields.
  • Valid driver's license with CDL required within first year of employment.
  • Ability to supervise workers, coordinate with contractors, and ensure safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a crew engaged in year-round construction, maintenance of gravel roads, and trails.
  • Operate hydraulic snow grooming equipment and heavy machinery, including during day and night shifts.
  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on equipment; manage materials to job sites.
