Job summary

Vermont Land Trust, Brattleboro, VT, seeks a Land Management & Restoration Coordinator through VHCB AmeriCorps. This full-time service year runs 01/12/2027–12/10/2027, requiring 1720 hours over 47 weeks, with a living allowance and education award.

You will lead volunteers, maintain trails, build simple structures, conduct GIS data collection, coordinate events, and support land conservation projects across fee-owned and conserved lands.

Qualifications

• Coordinate volunteers for field projects and events.
• Perform basic GIS mapping and data collection for land management.
• Assist in maintaining and building trail infrastructure and drainage features.
• Support monitoring and restoration activities across VHCB AmeriCorps sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Catamount Trail corridor, treadway, access trails, and signs.
• Lead volunteers: manage logistics, schedules, and group dynamics.
• Build structures such as small bridges and drainage features with hand tools.
• Conduct monitoring visits to land under trail easement and record keeping.
