iHeartMedia seeks a part-time Traffic and Weather Reporter/Producer in Seattle. You will gather regional traffic data, read reports to listeners, and craft copy for on-air delivery while maintaining precise details and deadlines.

The role requires flexibility to work split shifts and weekends, with training in the office as needed. This position emphasizes accuracy, timely updates, and collaboration within a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Formación

• Knowledge of local coverage area geography, roadways, mass transit and traffic patterns.
• Experience with Teams and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint); clear, controlled voice and pronunciation.
• Experience in fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom environments.
• Ability to plan, organize, set priorities and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work split shifts; 4 hours AM Drive, 4 hours PM Drive; weekends and overnights.
• Prior on-air broadcast experience is preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Gather regional traffic information and enter details into internal systems.
• Read traffic reports, commercials, and PSAs to listeners.
• Identify and research traffic copy; finalize content using digital editing software.
• Manage information and ensure accuracy and currency of details.
• Maintain deadlines to provide timely traffic updates.
