Job summary

RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, seeks an early career Electrical Design Engineer in Melbourne, Florida. You will develop electrical hardware, analyze requirements, and support design from concept to testing, working onsite with cross-functional teams.

You will use LT Spice, HyperLynx and lab equipment to simulate and verify circuits, contribute to obsolescence mitigation, and participate in product certification activities.

Qualifications

• Must have STEM degree and <2 years of related experience.
• U.S. Person required due to military contract.
• Experience with LT Spice, HyperLynx or similar tools.
• Experience with typical lab test equipment (OSCs, generators, power supplies).

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze electrical hardware requirements.
• Provide design support for CNS sustainment and new development.
• Manage component obsolescence and mitigation.
• Analyze circuit performance using LT Spice/HyperLynx.
• Design, debug, and test digital and mixed-signal circuits.
• Develop schematics, PCB layouts, and drawings.
• Build, debug, and test electrical circuits.
• Conduct electrical tests with common lab equipment.
• Create verification test plans and procedures.
• Collaborate with ME, ID, and Manufacturing for robust designs.
• Support product certification activities.
