Job summary

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of relevant experience
• Associate degree in related field (or equivalent)
• Valid driver license with two years of licensed driving
• Work Zone Safety Certification within first year of hire
• National electrical code knowledge
• Knowledge of city codes related to traffic signal installation and maintenance

Responsibilities

• Supervises Electricians and staff in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of traffic signal equipment.
• Reviews design plans and specs for compliance and safety.
• Oversees traffic signal projects, including planning, scheduling, and procurement coordination.
• Manages maintenance budget, expenditures, inventory, and forecasting.
• Provides leadership, training, and performance evaluations for staff.
• Responds to 24/7 on-call emergencies to maintain safety and operations.
• Documents maintenance activities and project work in Cartegraph OMS.
• Assesses new traffic signal equipment and makes recommendations for QPL inclusion.
