Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking a Traffic Signals Project Engineer in Atlanta to plan, analyze, design, and optimize traffic signal systems for safer and more efficient road networks. You will develop signal timing plans, perform traffic counts, safety analyses, and travel time studies, while preparing design calculations and construction documents.

You will collaborate with public agencies and stakeholders, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality deliverables within schedule and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• 6+ years of relevant experience if bachelor’s degree; 5+ with master’s; 4+ with PhD.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design traffic signal systems and timing plans.
• Analyze traffic data and performance to identify improvements.
• Develop design calculations, reports, and construction documents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver projects.
