Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, seeks a Traffic Signal Technician/Trainer to empower partners through hands-on installation, training, and remote QA across California, Arizona, and Nevada. You will lead field deployments, troubleshoot installations, and share expertise on signal hardware and cabinet architecture.

The role balances on-site fieldwork with remote collaboration, offering travel opportunities and a chance to advance technical leadership while impacting public safety and traffic flow.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of traffic signal/ITS field experience.
• IMSA Level II certification (Level III a plus, or ability to obtain within a few months).
• Deep knowledge of intersection cabinet architecture and hardware.
• Field work with calm under pressure and capability to install and troubleshoot.
• Willingness to travel ~40% and work in diverse environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to lead groups and technical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Train and empower partners on hardware installation, system integration, and software management.
• Lead physical installation efforts in the field to troubleshoot and optimize deployments.
• Support project through remote QA, ensuring installations meet standards and providing guidance.
• Collaborate with sales and project teams on documentation and installation workflows.
• Act as subject matter expert on traffic signal hardware, cabinet architecture, and system integration.
• Travel approximately 40% to install sites, conduct training, and troubleshoot onsite.
