The City of Surprise is seeking a skilled maintenance worker for journey-level duties across traffic signals, street lighting, fiber optics, and underground utility locating. The role includes quality control tasks and hands-on maintenance work.
Incumbents may train others to operate equipment and machinery and ensure compliance with safety standards during daily operations.
Incumbents perform journey-level activities and quality control activities related to traffic signals, street lighting, fiber optics, related underground utility locating, and various maintenance tasks. Incumbents may operate and train others to operate equipment and machinery.
High school diploma or GED; and three years of directly-related maintenance or traffic signal experience. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
