Zusammenfassung

South Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking a skilled technician to program and maintain traffic signal systems across intersections. You will use ATMS.NOW and Street Sync to configure controllers, test cabinets in the shop, and ensure wiring and lighting meet current standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and a Class A CDL within six months. You will perform preventative maintenance, document inspections in TEAMS, and support contractor work

Qualifikationen

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
Requires Class A CDL within six months of placement.

Aufgaben

Program signal controllers using ATMS.NOW and Street Sync and keep the database up to date.
Set up and test signal cabinets in the shop based on plans or revision drawings before field installation.
Replace signal equipment, poles, wiring, and lighting due to damage or age.
Respond to signal, highway lighting, or navigation lighting complaints; respond to after-hours emergencies.
Install, program and repair overhead and shoulder signal flasher equipment such as time clocks and Carmanah solar flashers.
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and inspections of traffic signal equipment, including preemption for railroads and emergency vehicles.
