Qualifications

  • Two years of work experience as a Sign Technician II.
  • Completion of a basic electricity/electrical curriculum from a recognized college or vocational school.
  • One basic electricity course plus one year of related work experience in electrical install/repair.
  • Current IMSA certification in Work Zone Traffic Control Safety and Traffic Signals Level I or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining traffic signal systems and related PLCs.
  • Install and maintain electrical wiring, network cabling, data cabling, conduit, antennas, and related hardware.
  • Program traffic controllers and perform uploads/downloads of traffic control software via remote connections.
  • Retrieve alarm reports from intersections via computer modems.
