Job summary

Qualifications

  • 12 months electrical training and/or experience including troubleshooting/repair of electrical circuits.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair traffic signals, ITS equipment, highway lighting systems, and related electrical components; perform troubleshooting, inspections, and adjustments to ensure safe operation.
  • Operate state vehicles, use tools, and repair equipment; perform utility locating, set up work-zone traffic control, sign installation and maintenance, vegetation trimming, and general field maintenance tasks.
  • Use computers and mobile devices to document work, complete inspections, update asset inventories, track materials, and maintain records using systems such as EIMS, ArcGIS, and other software.
