Job summary

Traffic Control Devices, LLC is seeking a Traffic Signal Technician I to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signal systems. The role includes on-site duties, emergency call responsibilities, and interpreting blueprints.

Qualified candidates should be 18+, with IMSA preferred, color vision, and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. Pre-employment screenings may apply, and a driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• IMSA Certification preferred.
• Ability to distinguish the range of color spectrum.
• Must be able to work at heights over 15 feet.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR checks may be required.

• Inspection and repair of signal supports, cabinets, and detection systems.
• Maintenance and repair of controllers, signs, signals, and lights.
• Build and install signal flasher units and load relays.
• Tuning vehicle detectors and adjusting signal control phase timing.
• Installing hardwired, microwave radio telemetry, fiber optics, and surveillance equipment.
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Assist in on-site work duties.

This position performs technical work in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signal systems, will involve a variety of specialized tasks that are reviewed to ensure quality. Performance of emergency call duties are required.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Inspection and repair of signal supports, cabinets, and detection systems.
• Maintenance and repair of controllers, signs, signals, and lights.
• Build and install signal flasher units and load relays.
• Tuning vehicle detectors and adjusting signal control phase timing.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education & Experience

• Prior experience in a similar position and industry preferred, but not required.

Pre-Screen

License & Certifications:
