Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Traffic Signal Installer to troubleshoot, maintain and repair street lights and traffic signals. The role involves wiring, coordinating with the public and private property owners, and ensuring work is performed per plans.

The position is full-time and non-exempt, with compensation based on experience and a benefits package including health coverage, retirement, life insurance, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to read blueprints/plans and construct as per plans (L2-L3).
• Able to direct and oversee Traffic Signal Laborers (L2-L3).
• Able to operate Bucket Truck, Digger Derrick/Boom Truck etc. (L2-L3).
• Valid Driver's license required.
• Pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and assist with the wiring of street lighting and traffic signal and equipment.
• Report to General Foreperson any issues involving maintenance of truck or equipment.
• Will have contact with public and private property owners to communicate the work to be performed.
• Willingness to travel within the State of Texas as needed, overnight or out of town stay may be required.

This position will be responsible for performing various duties of troubleshooting, maintenance and repair duties on street lights and traffic signals.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Oversees and assist with the wiring of street lighting and traffic signal and equipment
• Report to General Foreperson any issues involving maintenance of truck or equipment
• Will have contact with public and private property owners to communicate the work to be performed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work in a bucket or platform truck/device (L1-L3)
• Able to read blueprints/plans and construct as per plans (L2-L3)
• Able to direct and oversee Traffic Signal Laborers. (L2-L3)
• Able to operate various equipment in order to install signal items (Bucket Truck, Digger Derrick/Boom Trk etc) (L2-L3)
• Able to work long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, weekends, etc. Subject to call out work. (ALL LEVELS)

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Pre-Screen

• Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

License & Certifications

• Valid Driver's license required.

Travel Requirements

Must be willing to travel within the State of Texas as needed, overnight or out of town stay may be required up to 2 weeks as needed.
