Job summary

Municipal Development in Albuquerque, NM is seeking candidates for a Training and Certification Program role supporting Traffic Engineering. You will assist with maintenance and installation of traffic signals infrastructure, signage and related equipment, working with heavy tools and city vehicles.

The program emphasizes hands-on training and certification paths. The position is safety sensitive and subject to random drug/alcohol testing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with MS Word and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and repair of traffic signals infrastructure and wiring.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of overhead street name signs (illuminated and non-illuminated).
• Assist with the installation of traffic signal infrastructure.
• Move, load and unload equipment; operate hand tools, power tools, city vehicles and other equipment including but not limited to lift and boom trucks.
• Provide general cleanup and debris removal; work with concrete in sidewalks and drives.
• Assist Traffic Signal Technicians along with supervision in various duties, as needed.
• Perform line spotting of underground facilities.
• Adhere to safe work practices and procedures.
