Job summary

City of Maypearl is seeking a skilled technician to install and maintain electrical, electronic, and digitally controlled traffic signal systems. You will troubleshoot control devices and related equipment, with lifting up to 50 pounds and heights up to 50 feet.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent, two years of related experience, and ability to obtain a Texas Class A CDL within six months. Weekend/evening/night hours and on-call rotation are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; two years related experience.
• Must have, or be able to obtain, a Texas Class A CDL within six months.
• Prior supervisory experience beneficial; weekend/evening/night hours required.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electrical, electronic, and digitally controlled traffic signal devices and lighting systems.
• Troubleshoot traffic signal control devices and auxiliary equipment such as communications, detection and surveillance.
• Perform moderately complex repairs on analog and digital signal equipment; lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Work at heights up to 50 feet and differentiate between colored wires.
