Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in Florida seeks a Traffic Signal Installer to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair street lights and traffic signals. The role involves wiring, equipment operation, and ensuring reliable signal performance in various environments.

You will work with public and private property owners, follow plans and safety procedures, and be prepared for extended hours, overtime, and travel within the state as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to read blueprints/plans and construct as per plans.
• Able to direct and oversee Traffic Signal Laborers.
• Able to operate various equipment to install signal items (Bucket Truck, Digger Derrick/Boom Trk).
• Able to work long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, weekends, etc.

Traffic Signal Installer

This position will be responsible for performing various duties of troubleshooting, maintenance and repair duties on street lights and traffic signals.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Oversees and assist with the wiring of street lighting and traffic signal and equipment
• Report to General Foreperson any issues involving maintenance of truck or equipment
• Will have contact with public and private property owners to communicate the work to be performed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to work in a bucket or platform truck/device (L1-L3)
• Able to read blueprints/plans and construct as per plans (L2-L3)
• Able to direct and oversee Traffic Signal Laborers. (L2-L3)
• Able to operate various equipment in order to install signal items (Bucket Truck, Digger Derrick/Boom Trk etc) (L2-L3)
• Able to work long hours and overtime during holidays, emergencies, weekends, etc. Subject to call out work. (ALL LEVELS)

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

Pre-Screen

• Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.

License & Certifications

• Valid Driver's license required.

Travel Requirements

Must be willing to travel within the State of Florida as needed, overnight or out of town stay may be required up to 2 weeks as needed.
