Job summary

SWARCO McCain is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble traffic signals, signs, and related components according to work orders, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. You will route and secure wires, perform equipment change-overs, and maintain quality control in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic reading/writing, and the ability to read technical documents. You will work with hand and power tools, operate a pallet jack and forklift, and collaborate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum six months of related training or experience.
• Experience operating pallet jack and forklift safely.
• Proficient with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical docs and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with LED systems and basic electrical wiring helpful.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Willingness to follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
• Read/write/communicate verbally in English.
• Professional demeanor under pressure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly of traffic signals, signs, and related components per work orders and drawings.
• Route and secure wires through conduit and enclosures.
• Carry out equipment change-overs.
• Ensure quality control; adjust processes to meet specs.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble parts and sub-assemblies.
• Operate pallet jack and forklift to move materials and finished goods.
• Complete daily production logs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area per procedures.
