Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Norwich, CT is seeking a Traffic Safety Protector to join a field team at various job sites. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, direct traffic with stop/slow paddles, and monitor activity while following safety protocols.

No prior experience is required as comprehensive training is provided. You should be comfortable outdoors in all weather, able to lift 40–50 pounds, and flexible for nights, weekends, or emergencies.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to work outdoors and lift heavy objects.
• Willingness to work in traffic and varied weather.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious attitude.
• Ability to pass pre-hire screening, including drug tests.
• Respectful behavior towards coworkers, clients, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Set up and dismantle cones, signs and barricades.
• Direct traffic using stop/slow paddles.
• Monitor site activity and uphold safety protocols.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Maintain clean and safe equipment and vehicles.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions; be flexible for nights, weekends or emergencies.
• Stand or walk for extended periods and lift 40–50 pounds.
