Job summary

AWP Safety in Orlando, FL is hiring a Protector to join our traffic management team. With on-the-job training, you will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide drivers with a stop/slow paddle, and help keep equipment clean and safe.

Work occurs outdoors in all weather; shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work. No experience or degree is needed, and we provide safety training, PPE, and opportunities to advance into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, walk and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40-50 pounds.
• Must pass pre-hire screening including a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down.
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Following all safety rules taught in training and communicating with crew and supervisor.
• Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Working outside all year, in all weather; shifts may include nights, weekends or emergencies.
