Job summary

HDR is seeking a Traffic & Planning Intern in Missouri. You will gain hands-on experience in traffic planning, analysis and design, guided by senior engineers. The role emphasizes identifying transportation needs, safety assessments and mitigation strategies, while exposing you to mentoring by leaders in HDR's Transportation Business Group.

Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program with a 3.0+ GPA is preferred. Local candidates and basic MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills.
• Prefer local candidates.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry.

Responsibilities

• Gain real-world experience on traffic planning, analysis and design.
• Assist with identifying existing and future transportation needs, conducting traffic operational and safety assessments, developing mitigation strategies.
• Connect with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs.
• Perform other duties as needed.
