Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a Traffic Engineer to support CPZ design and on-street parking schemes across the borough. You will apply Traffic Signs Regulations, respond to enquiries, and assist in delivering safe highway and parking solutions.

The role requires a Civil/Highway Engineering background, full UK driving licence, and experience with AutoCAD/ParkMap. Hybrid working with 2 remote days is available, and you will work 3 days in the office/site.

Qualifications

• Experience designing CPZs and parking schemes.
• Experience in traffic engineering, transport planning or highways.
• Experience applying Traffic Signs Regulations and parking legislation.
• Experience preparing traffic orders, consultation plans and drawings.
• Experience managing project records, budgets and expenditure.
• Experience responding to public and stakeholder enquiries.
• Experience in a London borough environment is essential.
• Ability to work independently within a small team.
• Experience using AutoCAD is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design CPZs and on-street parking schemes.
• Respond to traffic and parking enquiries from residents and stakeholders.
• Support the Senior Engineer in delivering traffic engineering projects.
• Produce letters, emails, briefing notes, reports and documentation.
• Document decisions with a clear audit trail.
• Prepare traffic orders and consultation drawings.
• Liaise with contractors, officers, residents and Members.
• Progress projects from design through implementation.
