Job summary

PACCAR is seeking a Traffic Manager for the Day Shift at the Chillicothe facility. This role plans, develops, and administers traffic programs to improve transportation services for Kenworth Chillicothe.

You will supervise traffic planners, coordinate with carriers, and drive cost-saving initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma methodologies. With a Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years in transportation or related fields, you’ll manage freight activities, file claims, and ensure on-time performance while

Qualifications

3 to 5 years related experience in transportation, material planning, scheduling, or production management.
Working knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean tools and processes.
Goal oriented with proven organizational, communication, negotiation, conflict management, and cost control skills.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

Direct responsibility for all inbound and outbound freight traffic to Kenworth Chillicothe, evaluating rates and routes, and recommends cost saving programs.
Responsible for filing and managing loss, damage, and shortage claims with carriers; maintain metrics for on-time performance, costs, quality and safety.
Develops short and long range traffic objectives, including planning strategy and standards for measuring progress.
Oversees collection and evaluation of company traffic data, advising management of needs.
