Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Traffic Management Center (TMC) Program Manager to oversee all aspects of TMC operations across the Virginia Mid-Atlantic region. The role involves contract administration, QA/QC, data analytics, and coordination with operations staff and clients.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in TMC/traffic operations, at least 5 years in program management, and a track record supervising 25+ staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Be available during off-duty hours to support operations staff.
  • Attend on-site and off-site meetings and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Manage staff administration, performance, and oversight.
  • Lead performance measurement, management, and reporting.
  • Implement and oversee client policies and directives.
  • Lead data analytics including economic evaluation and system evaluation.
  • Report daily to the client on operations impacting the TMC.
  • Be on call 24/7/365 for emergencies and operational problems.
  • Attend client meetings to relay information.
  • Create and distribute weekly and monthly reports as needed.
  • Address special data requests and reporting needs.

WSP is currently searching for a Traffic Management Center (TMC) Program Manager.

This role can work out of various offices in the Virigina Mid-Atlantic Region.

This Opportunity

The Traffic Management Center (TMC) Program Manager will be responsible for all work necessary to provide for the general management, oversight, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), contract administration, and management support personnel.

The Program Manager shall:
  • Be available all times during off-duty hours to provide assist operations staff.
  • Participate in on-site and off-site meetings, build and maintain relationships with operational stakeholders.
  • Manage staff administration, performance, and oversight.
  • Lead performance measurement, management, and reporting.
  • Implementation and oversight of client policies and directives.
  • Lead data analytics activities including economic evaluation, and system evaluation.
  • Report to the client daily on all matters affecting operations of the TMC.
  • Be on call 24/7/365 for emergency and/or operational problems.
  • Attend meetings with the client for purposes of relaying information.
  • Create and distribute weekly, and monthly reports as needed, and
  • Address special requests by the client for gathering data and/or generating reports.
Education and Experience

Desired education and experience for this project include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 12+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in TMC operations with a minimum of 5 years of project management experience in TMC/Traffic operations/emergency operations, and transportation systems management and operations (TSMO)
  • At least 4 years of project management experience for projects with a net worth of at least $5M
  • Experience in managing projects and tasks from inception to completion
  • Experience supervising a minimum of twenty-five employees.
