Job summary

AECOM is seeking Traffic Engineers and Designers at all levels to join our growing team in Orlando, Florida. Selected candidates will work on alternative delivery projects including mega-projects, contributing significantly to transportation engineering.

The ideal candidates will have relevant engineering degrees, experience with traffic CAD design, and expertise in projects like signing and pavement markings. These positions will be hybrid, involving both remote and in-office work at a local AECOM office.

Qualifications

• BS Degree or equivalent education/experience for CAD Designers.
• BS in Engineering + 2 years of experience for Junior Level Engineers.
• BS in Engineering + 6 years of experience for Mid-Level Engineers.
• BS in Engineering + 10 years of experience for Senior Level Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD design for traffic projects.
• Handle signing & pavement markings and traffic signals.
• Contribute to large Design/Build or Alternative Delivery projects.

Summary

We are enthusiastically searching for all levels of Traffic Engineers and Designers to join our growing team throughout the southern US. Selected candidates can expect to work on alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Junior level, mid-level and senior level Traffic Engineers (including signing & pavement markings and traffic signals)
• Traffic CAD Designers (including signing & marking design and traffic signal design)

Desired Skillsets

• Experience in large Design/Build or Alternative Delivery projects, specifically highway transportation projects
• Experience with Bentley Microstation and Open Roads
• Experience in signing/pavement marking design
• Experience with traffic signal design
• Experience in Interstate design, and complex interchanges preferred.

Qualifications

• CAD Designers: BS Degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
• Junior Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
• Mid-Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
• Senior Level Engineers / Task Leads: BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT Certification or PE License
• State DOT experience
• Knowledge and prior use of the AASHTO Green Book and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
