Job summary

AECOM is seeking Traffic Engineers and Designers at all levels to enhance our team throughout the southern US. The roles will involve working on large alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects and collaborative design efforts.

The ideal candidates will possess a BS in Engineering along with relevant experience, and the positions offer a hybrid working model, requiring work from a local AECOM office.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience for Junior Level Engineers.
• BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience for Mid-Level Engineers.
• BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience for Senior Level Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Designing traffic systems including signing and pavement markings.
• Working on large Design/Build projects in highway transportation.
• Collaborating with a team on alternative delivery projects.

Summary

We are enthusiastically searching for all levels of Traffic Engineers and Designers to join our growing team throughout the southern US. Selected candidates can expect to work on alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Junior level, mid-level and senior level Traffic Engineers (including signing & pavement markings and traffic signals)
• Traffic CAD Designers (including signing & marking design and traffic signal design)

Desired Skillsets

• Experience in large Design/Build or Alternative Delivery projects, specifically highway transportation projects
• Experience with Bentley Microstation and Open Roads
• Experience in signing/pavement marking design
• Experience with traffic signal design
• Experience in Interstate design, and complex interchanges preferred.

Qualifications

• CAD Designers: BS Degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
• Junior Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
• Mid-Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
• Senior Level Engineers / Task Leads: BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT Certification or PE License
• State DOT experience
• Knowledge and prior use of the AASHTO Green Book and Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
