Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review utility installation permits and coordinate with construction projects.
• Collaborate with City divisions and external stakeholders to maintain temporary traffic control.
• Prepare and review engineering plans and designs for structures, facilities, or systems.
• Prepare reports and studies to identify engineering solutions.
• Review construction documents for code compliance as a plans examiner trainee.
• Tabulate bids and evaluate materials for small projects.
• Learn to estimate costs and quantities for construction needs.
• Perform site inspections and test equipment and materials.
• Prepare technical reports and support data.
• Consult with contractors and interpret contract specifications.
• Design small systems and work order plans.
• Use GIS to manage data and generate maps and reviews.
