Job summary
The City of Columbus is seeking an entry-level engineer for the Division of Traffic Management's Temporary Traffic Control Team under a Professional Engineer. You will develop and apply basic temporary traffic control concepts for daily operations and events within the public right-of-way.
You will review utility installation permits, coordinate with construction projects, and collaborate with various City Divisions and external stakeholders to ensure proper temporary traffic control is provided
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
- Experience with GIS is a plus.
- Familiarity with permits and construction coordination is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Review utility installation permits and coordinate with construction projects.
- Collaborate with City Divisions and external stakeholders to maintain temporary traffic control during work and events.
- Prepare plans, designs, and reports related to traffic management and temporary controls.
- Utilize GIS to review data and generate maps as part of project support.
