Job summary

Langan International, LLC is seeking an Intern/Co-op in Traffic Engineering to join its collaborative team in New York, NY. The role provides exposure to transportation impact studies, parking studies, event management for large venues, master planning, signal design, and HOP plans.

Responsibilities include traffic observations, report and plan preparation, construction observation, and other duties. Preference for juniors/seniors or MS candidates; relocation housing not provided.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a four-year or graduate degree in Civil/Traffic Engineering or Transportation Planning.
• GPA of 3.0+ preferred.
• Familiarity with HCS, SYNCHRO, MUTCD desirable.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, SoftDesk a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic observations.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and design plans for traffic/transportation projects.
• Observe construction activities.
• Perform other duties as requested.
