Job summary

Stonebrooke Engineering seeks an experienced Traffic Engineering Manager to lead our Traffic Group in Burnsville, MN. You will deliver high-quality transportation solutions, manage projects, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

You will guide traffic studies, modeling, and design efforts, while mentoring staff and communicating with stakeholders to ensure objectives are met and safety is prioritized.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in traffic engineering or related fields.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with Minnesota PE licensure.
• PTOE certification is required or preferred.
• Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD software.
• Proficiency in traffic analysis and design software.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Traffic Analysis and Modeling: conduct studies and use modeling to assess current and projected conditions.
• Traffic Design: develop designs to improve roadway safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Project Management: oversee delivery from concept to completion, managing timelines and budgets.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Traffic Engineering Manager to lead our Traffic Groupt in the Burnsville, MN office. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on a variety of transportation projects for State, Local Government, and private clients. The primary focus will be on delivering high-quality solutions within the transportation sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Traffic Analysis and Modeling: Conduct comprehensive traffic studies and utilize modeling techniques to evaluate current and projected traffic conditions.
• Traffic Design: Develop and implement effective traffic designs to enhance roadway safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Project Management: Oversee project delivery from conception through completion, managing timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met and expectations are exceeded.
• Public Outreach: Engage with the community and other stakeholders to communicate project details and gather feedback.
• Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

• Certification as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE).
