Job summary

Langan seeks an Intern/Co-op - Traffic Engineering in Pittsburgh, PA to assist with traffic studies, reports, and design plans. You will gain exposure to transportation impact studies, parking studies, traffic signal design, and HOP plans while supporting the Site/Civil group.

The role requires pursuing a Civil or Traffic Engineering/Transportation Planning degree, with a 3.0+ GPA preferred, and familiarity with CAD tools like AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Student actively pursuing a four year or advanced degree in Civil or Traffic Engineering / Transportation Planning.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred.
• Familiarity with HCS, SYNCHRO and MUTCD desirable.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or SoftDesk civil software a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and judgment capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Travel may be required based on business needs and project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic observation and data collection.
• Prepare reports, calculations and design plans for traffic projects.
• Observe construction and assist the team as needed.
• Support transportation master planning and related studies.
