Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. is seeking a civil engineer for an on-site role with the Georgia Department of Transportation in Jesup, GA. The position involves technical leadership on conventional projects, design work, and participation in client meetings while supporting project scope, budgets, and documentation.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree and a PE license, with 6+ years of engineering experience and proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation for field and office tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited program.
• Minimum of 6 or more years of engineering experience.
• Registered PE.
• Applies practical knowledge acquired through progressive experience to resolve issues.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other essential equipment for field and office work.
• Keeps informed of new methods and developments affecting the organization.

Job description

This position will report to the Georgia Department of Transportation at the District 5 office in Jesup, GA through direct, on-site work. Supports engineering projects, document development and design, and performs other related tasks. Works on multiple small projects with few complex features as a technical lead or portions of larger conventional projects.

Responsibilities
