LSSE Civil Engineers and Surveyors

LSSE is a growing 170-person civil engineering firm serving over 150 regional municipal clients, private development, industry, and utility clients in the Pittsburgh, PA region. We are accepting applications for a Traffic Engineer in our Coraopolis, Harmar, or Greensburg offices.

Minimum Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering
• 3-10 years of experience in traffic engineering
• EIT required; PE preferred
• PTOE certification
• MicroStation and AutoCAD experience desirable
• Driver’s license required

Responsibilities

• Assist Civil Engineers and Project Managers with transportation plans, traffic analyses, and studies
• Prepare specifications and plans for roadway improvement projects
• Conduct technical analyses and traffic calming studies
• Design traffic calming measures
• Prepare technical reports and transportation plans/graphics
• Collect field data, traffic counts, and research
• Estimate quantities and construction costs
• Travel to job sites for data collection, site visits, and meetings
• Provide technical support during meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior staff
