Job summary

CBX Global is seeking a Traffic Coordinator to support the warehouse and customer service teams in daily operations, ensuring inbound and outbound activities run smoothly. Strong communication, organization, and scheduling skills are essential to manage loads, plan dispatches, and maintain service levels.

The role requires at least 1 year of ocean transportation traffic experience and a HS diploma. English is required; Spanish is a plus. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook is expected.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience handling traffic, documentation, and customer service functions for ocean transportation.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong English communication; Spanish language skills preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily inbound and outbound operations, maximizing truck capacity to meet service levels and margins.
  • Arrange loads for dispatch and update systems per policy.
  • Implement policies to drive profitable growth while meeting customer goals.
  • Meet and exceed client expectations and needs.
  • Plan daily receiving and dispatching based on customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service and Warehouse teams to ensure shipments meet service dates.
  • Communicate effectively to resolve dispatch issues and escalate with data when needed.
  • Monitor carrier appointments and ensure schedules are followed.
  • Revise internal forecast reports to plan daily operations.

Job description

Job Description: The Traffic Coordinator is a detail-oriented team member, supporting the warehouse and customer service team to ensure daily operations runs efficiently. Their primary role is to manage and organize daily inbound and outbound operations. This position requires excellent communication, organization, and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily available truck capacity to ensure excellence in service to our customers while maintaining expected margins.
  • Arrange loads for dispatch and make necessary system updates by departmental policies.
  • Implement strategic policies to drive profitable growth to deliver company and customers’ goals.
  • Ensure we meet and exceed clients’ expectations and needs.
  • Plan daily receiving and dispatching based on customer requirements.
  • Daily work hand in hand with Customer Service and Warehouse teams to ensure all shipments are handled complying with service dates.
  • Find solutions to any situation that may arise about dispatching.
  • Monitor that vendor service agreements and requests are aligned to the services requested.
  • Escalate any situation with supporting data to Managers and Directors.
  • Monitor carrier appointments and ensure these are completed as scheduled.
  • Revise internal forecast reports to plan daily operations accordingly.
  • Monitor emails closely to ensure load plans and any other inquiry from our customer service team is completed accordingly.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • One (1) year of experience handling traffic, documentation, and customer service functions for ocean transportation
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (required) and Spanish (preferred but not required).
  • Basic skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook programs.
  • Ability to effectively communicate (read and write) in a business environment.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in prioritizing projects delegated by supervisor.
