Job summary

FC Traffic Control, LLC is seeking a Traffic Control Technician to work outdoors, setting up safe work zones and helping keep traffic moving. You will join a hands-on crew, follow safety procedures, and contribute to project efficiency.

You will work with a team in varying weather conditions, operating basic hand and power tools and assisting with site setup and daily tasks. Nights and weekends may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and walking on uneven surfaces.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to work zone rules.
• Good communication to keep the crew updated.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do (and Love Doing!)

• Be the Backbone: Assist crew leads with everything needed to keep projects on track.
• Gear Up the Zone: Set up cones, signs, and posts — all the essentials for safe and efficient work zones.
• Measure Like a Pro: Mark layouts with precision and make sure every detail is dialed in.
• Own the Tools: Prep, maintain, and handle tools like a boss — your gear is your pride.
• Site Setup & Cleanup: Dig, erect, organize, and tidy up. Every job starts and ends with you.
• Hands-On Action: Use a range of hand and power tools to tackle daily tasks like a pro.
• Control the Flow: Safely direct traffic and keep drivers and workers out of harm's way.
• Roll Out in Style: Hit the road in company vehicles and take calls like a field‑ready problem solver.

Physical Stuff You Gotta Do

• Squat, stoop, climb, and crawl — you know the drill.
• Handle uneven terrain and all weather conditions.
• Lift up to 80 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
• You’ve got the balance, coordination, and grit to keep going.

Other Requirements

• Flagger Certification (Preferred) if not, we will get you certified!
• Traffic Control Technician (TCT) Certification (Preferred).

The Non‑Negotiables

• Available nights and weekends when duty calls.
• Pass a background check
• At least 19 years of age
• Valid drivers license for a minimum of 3 years
