Job summary

Vector is seeking a Traffic Control Specialist to safely manage traffic around construction sites using cones, signs and barricades. The role involves leading daily traffic control operations and coordinating with crews.

Candidates must enjoy outdoor work, be able to stand for long periods, and hold a valid driver’s license. Early starts, overtime, weekends and night shifts may be required; comprehensive benefits are provided.

This Position:

We are currently hiring experienced and entry-level Traffic Control Specialist. Our TCS’s work with construction crews to safely control traffic flow in and around the construction site using traffic cones, warning signs and barricades.

• Leads a team in traffic control day-to-day operations
• Oversee the safe completion of daily activities
• Operate company trucks and miscellaneous hand tools
• Load and unload equipment
• Conducts routine equipment maintenance and daily equipment inspections
• Complete daily logs
• Communicate problems
• Follow federal, state, local and company laws, rules, and regulations
• Set up and breakdown traffic control zones

Key Qualifications:

• You enjoy working outdoors
• You can stand for extended periods of time and can meet other physical demands of the job
• Possess a valid state driver’s license
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions (hot or cold) when required and necessary
• Available to work M-F (starting as early as 6:00 AM), plus overtime
• Available to work weekends and nights when required and necessary
• Reliable transportation to and from work

Benefits and compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $28.00-$32.00, paid weekly
