Job summary

AWP Safety in Morgantown, WV is seeking Protector team members to join job sites. No experience or degree needed; we provide training and ongoing support to help you build a career in traffic safety.

You will set up cones, guide traffic with stop/slow signals, work outdoors year-round, and adapt to shifts including nights or weekends. Pay starts at $16.00–$16.75 per hour with overtime and paid training.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; punctual for every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules.
• Treat coworkers, clients and the public with respect.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and remove traffic control equipment.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Follow safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with your crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside all year, in all weather.
• Shifts may change based on job needs: some nights, weekends, or emergency work.
• You may stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift.
• We provide safety gear; bring steel-toe boots.
