Job summary

Dickerson & Bowen seeks a Traffic Control Superintendent to lead design, deployment, and continuous improvement of our traffic control program across multiple paving projects in Mississippi. You will manage crews, safety, documentation, and performance, aligning with contract requirements and industry standards to deliver safe, efficient work.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 5+ years in traffic control, and 3+ years in supervising crews, with strong planning, leadership,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of progressive traffic control, roadway construction, or work zone experience preferred.
• 3+ years of experience leading field crews or supervisors preferred; experience with asphalt paving, milling, or heavy civil construction is a plus.
• Experience reviewing or developing temporary traffic control plans.

Responsibilities

• Design, establish, and continuously improve the traffic control department, operating model, and service standards.
• Develop SOPs, field expectations, inspection protocols, training requirements, and escalation processes.
• Allocate staffing, equipment, and capability plans to meet project demand and Company growth.
• Lead traffic control technicians, leads, and foremen; set skill expectations and career progression.
• Ensure safety, compliance, quality, and documentation through audits and corrective actions.
