Job summary

Select Maintenance LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking Traffic Control Laborers for our DFW division. Pay is $18.00–$22.00/hr depending on experience, with night, weekend, and day shifts available.

You will discuss routing plans, deploy traffic control signs, direct vehicle movement, and assist with detours and safety at the site. A valid driver1s license and ability to pass background and drug tests are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Background check and drug test required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work day, night, or weekend shifts.
• Prior traffic control experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Discuss traffic routing plans and location of control points with supervisor.
• Distribute traffic control signs and markers along site in designated pattern.
• Direct movement of traffic through site using signs, hand, and flag signals.
• Warn construction workers when approaching vehicles fail to heed signals to prevent accidents and injury.
• Inform drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
• Record license numbers of traffic control violators for police.
• Signal clearance for reverse flow of traffic at opposite end of site.

Pay: $18.00–22.00/hr depending on experience

Location: Dallas, TX (location depends on project needs)

Hours: Nights, weekends, and days. Must be flexible to work any shift. Overtime available.

Job Description:

• Discusses traffic routing plans, and type and location of control points with supervisor
• Distributes traffic control signs and markers along site in designated pattern
• Directs movement of traffic through site using signs, hand, and flag signals
• Warns construction workers when approaching vehicles fail to heed signals to prevent accidents and injury
• Informs drivers of detour routes through construction sites
• Records license numbers of traffic control violators for police
• Gives hand marker to last driver in lineup of one-way traffic for Flagger at opposite end of site, signaling clearance for reverse flow of traffic

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to work day, night, or weekend shifts
• Must be comfortable operating a company vehicle
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work
• Prior traffic control experience preferred, but not required
