C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. is hiring for a laborer to support multiple project sites in Columbus, GA.

You will assist with flagging traffic, loading and unloading materials, and performing basic site cleanup and equipment maintenance. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and working on nights/weekends. Qualifications

• Physical labor role requiring standing, walking, stooping and bending.
• Must be able to climb equipment ladders to reach operator seats.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Flagging traffic on worksites.
• Loading and unloading materials.
• Shoveling and raking dirt, gravel, and asphalt.
• General cleanup around the job site.
• Set up and maintenance of traffic control aids.
• General maintenance of all equipment and tools.

Labor job duties are continually changing depending on the requirements of each project. Laborers are expected to assist in the general operation of each job site.

The position consists of but is not limited to the following duties:

• Flagging traffic;
• Loading and unloading of materials;
• Shoveling and raking dirt, gravel, and asphalt;
• General clean up around job site;
• Set up and maintenance of all traffic control aids;
• General maintenance of all equipment and tools.

The above listed duties require periods of standing, walking, stooping and bending. Employee must be able to climb equipment’s ladder to reach the operators seat.
