Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking a Protector to join our team at job sites across the region. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, operate traffic control devices, and stay compliant with safety rules at all times.

No prior experience is required, but you must be able to stand/walk for long periods, lift 40–50 pounds, and work in varying weather. Training and safety certifications are provided; shifts may include nights or weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; arrive on time for every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and take down traffic devices.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round, in all weather conditions.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work.
