Job summary

AWP Safety in the United States is seeking Protectors to work at traffic sites. You’ll set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and follow safety rules learned in training.

No prior experience or degree is required; you will receive paid training and safety certification. Roles may include nights or weekends and outdoor work year‑round; uniforms and gear provided; you bring steel-toe boots.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Ability to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (safety sensitive job).
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades and take traffic control equipment down.
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with your crew and supervisor.
• Help keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside all year, in all weather.
• Shifts may include nights, weekends, or emergency work.
• Stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift.
