Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking aProtector to support traffic management at job sites across the region. No experience or degree is required; training is provided. You will set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and ensure safety at all times.

Expect long shifts outdoors in all weather conditions, with a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. A valid driver's license is required, and pre-hire drug screening applies as this is a safety-sensitive role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather
• Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (safety sensitive job)
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect

Responsibilities

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitor job site activity
• Following all safety rules taught in training
• Communicating with crew and supervisor
• Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe
• Working outside all year, in all weather
• Shifts may change based on job needs, including nights/weekends/emergency work
