Job summary

AWP Safety is hiring Protectors to manage traffic control at job sites. No prior experience or degree needed; training is provided and the safety-first approach is emphasized throughout every shift.

Daily duties include setting up cones and signs, guiding traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and ensuring equipment and vehicles stay clean and safe. You’ll work outdoors in all weather, with some nights, weekends, or emergency shifts possible.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (safety sensitive).

Working outside all year, in all weather

Shifts may change based on job needs:Some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be required

You may stand or walk8 to 12 hours per shift

We give you a hard hat, safety goggles, a safety vest, safety whistle, walkie talkie, and cold/hot weather gear: you bring your own steel toe safetyboots that go above the ankle.

Qualifications

Additional Information

Pay:

• $17.65–$19.50 per hour
• Pay increasesin your first year
