Job summary

Spivey Services in Virginia is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor to safely set up and manage work zones per VWAPM and client specs. You will lead a field crew, coordinate readiness, and maintain accurate reports to protect workers and the travelling public.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Virginia Driver's License.
• Minimum two years of field experience in traffic control or construction.
• Ability to lead small teams in the field with professionalism and urgency.
• Must pass background check and drug screen.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform strenuous outdoor tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee traffic control crews in setting up, monitoring, and removing work zones.
• Ensure VWAPM and project standards are followed.
• Drive and operate non-CDL flatbed or cone trucks (18’–24’).
• Communicate with contractors, clients, and leadership on daily operations.
• Document job site activity, crew attendance, and safety concerns.
• Maintain clean, organized work vehicles and equipment.
• Respond to emergencies and adjust setups in real time.
• Coach crew members on best practices and expectations.
• Foster a safety-focused environment on each project.
• Represent Spivey Services professionally in the field.
