Placement Club is seeking a Traffic Control Engineer to design and manage traffic control plans for public works across Northern California. You will review project requests, develop plans, and coordinate with clients and drafting staff to ensure compliance and quality.

You will work with eight in-house drafters and operations teams, contributing to planning, permitting, and field implementation on high-profile projects. PE license not required but preferred, growth opportunities available.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of experience preparing traffic control plans.
• Experience with public works, utility, roadway, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of traffic control standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings and construction plans.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, review, and approve traffic control plans for public works and infrastructure projects.
• Receive project requests from clients and determine project requirements.
• Review plans for accuracy, constructability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical comments and recommendations to clients and project teams.
• Delegate drafting assignments and oversee the work of internal drafting staff.
• Coordinate with project owners, general contractors, municipalities, and public agencies.
• Ensure compliance with MUTCD, Caltrans standards, and local agency requirements.
• Support project planning, permitting, and traffic management strategies.
• Assist in resolving field issues related to traffic control implementation.
• Maintain project schedules and deliver plans within required timelines.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
