Job summary

Baldwin Paving Company, Inc is seeking a Leadman – Traffic Control to lead a small crew on road and highway projects, coordinating daily traffic-control needs with Foremen and Superintendents, and ensuring compliance with MUTCD and GDOT specifications.

The role is full-time and requires day/night shifts, including weekends when necessary, with a strong emphasis on safety, training, and efficient setup of traffic-control devices.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Flagger certification is preferred.
• WTCS certification preferred; DOT medical certification required or obtainable.
• CDL/CMV qualification preferred.
• Must possess knowledge of MUTCD and GDOT traffic control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and work alongside a crew of 2–3 flaggers.
• Coordinate daily production goals and traffic control needs with Foremen and Superintendents.
• Plan and organize crew activities to set up traffic control devices safely and timely.
• Train and coach less experienced crew members.
• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control devices (signs, drums, cones, barriers, detours).
• Perform flagging and monitor work zones, adjusting to conditions.
