Job summary

Webber, a Ferrovial company, seeks a traffic control assistant to support the Foreman and skilled workers on construction sites in Houston. You will help manage traffic control operations and assist with road striping, pavement marking, and the installation of signs and devices.

Essential duties include fabricating, erecting and maintaining temporary traffic controls, operating a truck when required, lifting materials, and keeping tools and work areas clean.

Qualifications

• Education: less than High School Diploma.
• Experience: At least 1-2 years related traffic control experience preferred.
• Outdoor work in changing weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Fabricates, erects and maintains temporary traffic control devices, including arrow boards, signs, barricades, channelizing devices, barrels and all message boards.
• May operate a truck during traffic control operations.
• Lift, carry and hold construction materials, tools and supplies.
• Clean tools, equipment, materials and work area.
• Uses power tools and air tools.
• When not performing the above essential duties and responsibilities, may assist in other operations as designated by the supervisor.
